El Perro Negro EDM Sierra Nevada Challenge 2009 - The Highest and the Finest

On the weekend of 19 and 20 September a group of 19 EDM lawyers from the London office will be walking in the Sierra Nevada range to raise money for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice. The hospice has given invaluable support to Nick and Katie Hayday and to their son Joshua over the last few months and to many other families in similar circumstances. Hi there! We had a wonderful time in the Sierra Nevada! It really is a beautiful piece of rock. Almost immediately after you dropped us off we encountered mountain goats. The whole route was full of them! We took the first day very easy, heading just for the caballo lake. Leigh Ritchie April Trek up Alcazaba and Mulhacen via Siete Lagunas

Here's a blog of my recent 3 day trek in the high Sierra with Mike. The original plan of doing the Mulhacen - Alcazaba - Vacares traverse had to be modified due to the recent heavy snowfall causing access problems to Hoya de Portillo and possible avalanche risk to the East of Alcazaba. Just found this satellite image of the Sierra Nevada taken from space on 18th November 2008. The image was supplied by Chelys who were established in 2002. Its core business focuses on software development and supplying services in the Earth Observation sector as a provider of processing stations for Earth observation satellites. El Perro Negro Winter Climbing Potential Cerro de Caballo

Just had a 2 day exploratory trip to investigate the winter climbing potential that exists on the Cerro de Caballo peak above Lanjaron in Spain's Sierra Nevada. The crags and gullies are found at an altitude of 2800+ on the NE and E faces of the summit cone. Continue
